Aesthetic and Comfortable Orthodontics with Clear Aligners

Crowded teeth or misaligned jaws can negatively impact both your smile aesthetics and oral health. If the look or limitations of traditional braces concern you, the Invisalign treatment offered in our clinic provides a modern, clear, and comfortable alternative! Invisalign is an innovative orthodontic solution that gently and effectively moves your teeth into their ideal positions using nearly invisible aligners.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment system made up of custom-designed, clear, and removable aligners. Instead of traditional metal brackets and wires, each set of aligners is uniquely crafted to move your teeth by small increments. These aligners are replaced every 1–2 weeks on average, gradually shifting your teeth into their ideal final positions. Because they are nearly invisible, it is difficult for others to notice that you are undergoing treatment.

Why Choose Invisalign?

Invisalign offers many advantages compared to traditional braces:

Enhanced Aesthetics: With clear aligners, there are no visible metal brackets or wires. This offers a major aesthetic advantage, especially for adults in social or professional environments.

Comfort: Unlike metal wires, clear aligners do not cause irritation or sores in the mouth. They are smooth, comfortable, and fit snugly over the teeth.

Removability: You can easily remove the aligners while eating, brushing, and flossing. This allows you to maintain excellent oral hygiene with no dietary restrictions.

Fewer Clinic Visits: Compared to traditional braces, Invisalign often requires fewer and shorter check-up appointments.

Predictable Results: The treatment plan is simulated in advance using 3D software, allowing you to see your expected results before treatment even begins.

Stages of Invisalign Treatment in Our Clinic

In our clinic, Invisalign treatment begins with a detailed assessment and a customized treatment plan:

Comprehensive Examination and Diagnosis: First, our experienced orthodontist thoroughly evaluates your teeth and jaws. Digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and 3D scans (such as iTero) are taken to obtain precise measurements of your teeth. This method is much more comfortable and accurate compared to traditional impression molds.

3D Treatment Planning (ClinCheck®): The digital data is uploaded to Invisalign’s ClinCheck® software. Using this software, your orthodontist plans each stage of tooth movement—from the initial positions to the final ideal alignment—in 3D. Before treatment begins, you can see how your teeth will move at every step and what your final smile will look like. At this stage, the treatment duration and the total number of aligners are determined.

Production of Clear Aligners: According to the approved ClinCheck® plan, a series of custom clear aligners are produced in the Invisalign laboratory and delivered to our clinic. Each aligner set is designed to move your teeth by a precise and controlled amount.

Aligner Placement and Regular Check-Ups: You will visit our clinic to receive your first set of aligners. Your orthodontist will explain how to insert, remove, and clean them. Each set of aligners is worn for approximately 1–2 weeks before switching to the next set. For the best results, aligners must be worn for at least 20–22 hours per day. Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled every 6–8 weeks to monitor your progress and provide your next sets of aligners.

Post-Treatment Retention: Once your teeth reach their ideal positions, a retention phase is applied to maintain the results. This is usually achieved by bonding a fixed lingual retainer behind the teeth or by using removable nighttime clear retainers. Retention prevents teeth from shifting back to their previous positions.

Results of Invisalign Treatment

The results achieved with Invisalign provide improvements not only in aesthetics but also in function:

A More Confident and Attractive Smile: Crowding is corrected, gaps are closed, and a more symmetrical smile is achieved—boosting your self-confidence.

Improved Oral Hygiene: Properly aligned teeth are easier to brush and floss, reducing the risk of cavities and gum disease.

Healthier Teeth and Gums: Misaligned teeth can lead to excessive wear or stress on the teeth and gums. Invisalign helps minimize these risks.

Better Chewing Function: Correct tooth alignment improves chewing efficiency and reduces stress on the jaw joints.
